Recommendations come first
A recommendation is a member’s genuine statement that they have used and trust a business. A recommendation is not a paid review, guarantee, introduction fee, or promise of a reward. A member must never recommend a business they have not used, and no reward is conditioned on praise, positive wording, or a favorable rating.
Key terms
- Wovch Pass: a single-use record connecting a member, a source recommendation, and a business.
- Eligible transaction: a genuine customer visit that meets the applicable Pass, confirmation, payment, timing, and conduct requirements.
- Business reward: the amount the business authorizes for an eligible confirmed first visit.
- Member reward: the member-facing share that may result from using someone else’s Wovch for an eligible transaction.
- Wovcher earnings: the amount that may go to the person whose recommendation was used.
- Clearing: the period after confirmation and payment during which the activity can be reviewed before funds become available.
- Payout: transfer of available funds after required payout setup.
When a business may be charged
The business sets a first-visit reward, subject to a $1 minimum. The applicable amount is preserved when a Wovch Pass is created. Creating a profile, appearing through Circle discovery, or creating a Pass does not itself create the visit charge. Confirming an eligible visit may trigger the preserved business reward. An eligible repeat visit uses 40% of the original first-visit reward.
Fees and distribution
The Wovch platform fee is waived at launch. Payment-processing costs may be deducted from the business reward before the remainder is distributed. The Wovcher’s selected give-back determines how the distributable amount is divided between the member reward and Wovcher earnings. The product shows each party the amount relevant to them.
Reward eligibility
Not every recommendation, Pass, visit, confirmation, or Visit Note earns money. Eligibility may require a genuine prior customer experience, an eligible Wovch Pass, a real visit, accurate confirmation, any required Visit Note within the time shown, successful business payment, completion of clearing, payout setup, and compliance with the Terms. Self-recommendation and artificial or coordinated activity are not eligible.
Visit Notes and honest experience
A first-visit member reward may require a Visit Note within the period shown in the product. The Visit Note must reflect the member’s real experience and does not have to be positive. Missing a required Visit Note may make the member reward ineligible, while other transaction records may remain for payment, dispute, security, or legal purposes.
Clear financial disclosure
When a recommendation carries a potential financial benefit, Wovch identifies that connection in context before the member acts on it. A reward does not certify business quality, buy placement, replace the member’s judgment, or guarantee that a payment will become available.
Clearing and payout
Eligible rewards enter clearing after the required visit, confirmation, Visit Note, and payment steps. The product shows the applicable status and timing. Funds become available only after clearing and any required identity, tax, or payout setup. Payment providers may require additional verification before transfer.
Reviews, disputes, and reversals
Wovch may delay, review, adjust, reverse, or deny a charge, reward, or payout when activity appears inaccurate, duplicative, unauthorized, refunded, disputed, charged back, abusive, fraudulent, or inconsistent with the applicable terms. Wovch may correct errors and recover amounts paid in error as permitted by law.
Taxes
Recipients are responsible for determining and paying taxes that apply to their rewards or earnings. Wovch or a payment provider may collect tax information, withhold amounts, or issue reporting forms when required by law. Tax treatment depends on individual facts and jurisdiction.
No disclosure of security machinery
Wovch discloses material eligibility, charge, clearing, reversal, and payout principles. It does not publish confidential scoring, fraud thresholds, internal review procedures, ranking logic, or other controls that could make abuse easier.
